Video: Is this man really talking to a monkey?

A video showing a man talking to a monkey during an evening of drinks looks super believable, but is it really?

More often than not, we know how a night of drinking can capture some of the most insane moments amongst friends. But none have been so on point in representing SA culture than an alleged conversation between a man and a monkey.
A video shared on social media shows a man enjoying a night around the campfire with a group of fruends.
All the men are silent, but he is engaged in a story he is telling. He is not telling the story to his fellow mates gathered around the fire , but instead directs his attention to a monkey sitting on a tree stump close to him.

Many people tagged the man speaking to the monkey as Ronan Gamble. It seems he owns a game lodge in the North West province.
Gamble seems to have a sense of humour, and while it does look like he is talking to a real monkey, it appears that the monkey might not even be real, but a very realistic statue or a taxidermy.
Taxidermy is a process used to stuff an animal for display or study. This seems like the only reasonable explanation to the monkey sitting so still and listening intently. While we know monkeys are intelligent, we cannot imagine one sitting so diligently amongst humans without trying to swipe a snack, even if that snack is a glass of alcohol.
