Details are scarce, but VICE reports that production for the film started in New Mexico in 2018 already, with Vince Gilligan returning to write and direct.

Aaron Paul will return as Jesse Pinkman and the movie will follow his 'quest for freedom' after managing to escape that bloodbath of a series finale. There have also been rumours that Bryan Cranston will reprise his role as Walter White.

"It's a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open [in the series finale]," Bryan Cranston told The Dan Patrick Show.

'Breaking Bad' was nominated for a variety of awards since first airing in 2008. Several actors on the show have received acting award nominations, including Aaron Paul, who walked away with two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
