Three toxic leadership behaviours to watch out for at your workplace

Sharing some insight into leaders with toxic traits...

There are workers who will tell you how they work with great teams and can hand pick the jobs that had horrible bosses. Some even share how they have only ever had great leaders.
But on the flip side, there are many who will tell you that they have never experienced having a good leader. And that's not even us going into the difference between bosses and leaders.
It is for this reason that we thought it important to share some traits of a toxic leader.
Not because we want to shame bad leaders, but because if you are in a work setting that is run by a toxic leader, then it can be both mentally and physically damaging for you.
Here are some traits to watch out for.
Micromanagement. There is a big line between micromanaging someone and providing guidance and coaching
A good leader inspires by leading by example, with work ethic, respect, and integrity.
If you find your leader is always undermining your work, finding fault in what you do, and constantly treating you like a child, then you're being micromanaged.

Gossiping and encouraging office politics
Good leadership nips gossip in the bottom and doesn't encourage chitter chatter in the office. If you notice your boss pitting people against one another, beware.
Passing the buck
A leader who passes blame when a project goes wrong is definitely toxic. As managers or directors, the aim is to find solutions, use failures as a means to encourage and motivate.
If your boss speaks down to you and humiliates you constantly, then this is also a factor you need to be wary of. Good leadership speaks up without humiliating.
