It might be payday weekend for some, but you can still have a good time on a budget...

If you want to go out this weekend but don't want to spend all your money at once, then we have some fun activities for you.
With the school holidays finally over and your bank balance smiling again, a fun weekend out might be just what the family needs.
1. The Ferris Wheel at Waterfall City
If the weather is good, this is a fun activity to do this weekend. "Enjoy stunning city sights of the Waterfall area from the top of the wheel. Standing at an incredible height, this observation wheel is now permanently positioned in the space with 26 gondolas that seat up to 6 people," reports What's on in Joburg

.A single ticket costs R20. Other rides around the park also require tickets. Full-day passes cost R250 per person and can be purchased at the gate.
Operating times: Winter | 10 am to 6:30 pm

2. RollEgoli Roller Rink
Enjoy unlimited skating at the roller rink in Johannesburg.
"Beginner skaters can regularly make use of skatemates (marshalls) to help them around the rink and provide support and confidence until they can skate unsupported. Rollerbladers can rent skates with sizes ranging from junior size 10 up to adult size 13, including adjustable rollerblades that range from a junior size 9 to an adult 9." (What's on in Joburg)
There is a wooden jungle gym, a trampoline, and a smoother scooter track for the younger ones who would prefer not to skate.
Tickets for entry | R110 per person (rental for skates cost R50). No booking is required, pay at entrance.
Saturday | 9 am to 9 pm
Sunday | 9 am to 6 pm
3. Adventure Golf
Have a round of adventure golf with the family this weekend and see who comes out on top. With four venues around Johannesburg, you get caves, water features, and magnificent greens in Stoneridge, Randburg, Hillfox, and Fourways.
"Each venue boasts well-maintained courses, maintained and hands-on staff to ensure our experience is effortless. And all venues form ideal places to entertain clients, do team-building activities or arrange kids’ birthday parties." (What's on in Joburg)
Cost | R140 for Adults | R110 for Students and kids | R80 for Under 7s and Pensioners.
Friday and Saturday | 9 am to 10 pm
Sunday | 9 am to 6 pm
