Baby wigs... Have parents gone too far?

Baby wigs... Have parents gone too far?

Beauty trends are all good, but should they have an age restriction?

Parenting can be one of the biggest challenges of a person's life. It demands things of you that you never deemed possible.

And while many are trying their best to navigate this parenting jungle, you may get judged along the way, sometimes even publicly shamed for your parenting style

Sometimes, it is warranted because parenting doesn't equate to an abuse of power. Therefore, every step we take and every decision must be taken with caution, love, and guidance. We must constantly remind ourselves to put the child's well-being first.

A hair-raising trend that has people up in arms on social media shows parents buying their kids baby wigs. While some do it for the laughs, others are going all out by installing wigs on their babies to enhance their looks.

People were not afraid to share their true feelings here, even though this was not the worst one we have seen.

Another video, which crossed the line of sanity, showed a hair technician placing a wig on a one-year-old baby girl and even applying glue to the child's hairline. As much as we don't believe in shaming, this seems extreme.

The video attracted many angry comments, one person said, "Horrible. What message does this send? A wig makes you beautiful at ONE???"

Another angrily wrote, "Sure, slather the child's head in chemicals, add a cheap wig, and ruin her future sense of worthiness all at once. CPS needs to be called."

This reminded us of another story where a mother was shamed for allowing her toddler to apply makeup

Stories such as these make us wonder whether there should be a screening process for people before they become parents. Letting children be children is the aim here; after all, being an adult isn't all that easy...
