Birthday candles light mom's hair on fire during celebration
What started as a cute birthday surprise became a "lit" affair when this mom's hair caught fire.
Birthdays are meant to be special, especially when our kids are young.
It's up to parents and grandparents to make an effort to celebrate our children so that they know they're loved. Not only does it build their self-esteem, but it also helps strengthen the bond and trust in familial relationships.
A mother and grandmother decided to surprise their young girl with a birthday cake, balloons, cupcakes and gifts in bed for her birthday.
What began as a joyful birthday surprise quickly took a fiery turn when the mom’s hair caught alight during the celebration.
As the mom and grandmother leaned in from either side to kiss the birthday girl, a candle – likely one of those stubborn candles that doesn't blow out easily – brushed against the mother’s hair and ignited it.
The grandmother reacted instantly, swatting the flames to stop them from spreading. The mom dashed out of frame, and while we don’t see what happened next, she later confirmed in the comments that she’s okay. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries.

Many people joked in the comments, saying, "This girl is on fire," referencing Alicia Keys's hit song.
One person commented, "She said, let's set the party on fire."
Others thought that she was wearing a weave, which is why her hair was so flammable, but she admitted that this was her real hair that got toasted.
