Boy's wild gift leaves mom speechless

Life is full of surprises when you are raising boys...

We've often seen moms (and dads) share their wild experiences raising boys. If you're a boy mom or dad, then you can agree that there's never a dull moment when raising boys.
Tiffani Hein, a mother and founder of The Maletsatsi Foundation, a registered NPO that helps provide a haven for kids (and sometimes their mothers) while transitioning into their next chapter.
According to their webiste, "The Maletsatsi foundation provides a temporary family for children in transitional spaces. The foundation is primarily a home to abandoned, abused, neglected and other children in need, essentially a ‘stopover’ home during the finalisation of a child’s permanency either through reunification with the child’s family or through adoption."
Hein shared a video on social media of one of their kids doing the most 'little boy' thing ever.
Watch the video below from Instagram.
I grabbed my phone because I suspected something was going on. And, yeah, the rest unfolded on camera, which was rather amusing. As you can hear from my response, it was not what I anticipated; I thought they'd filled it with rocks. He is hilarious, always full of trouble and the funniest nonsense in the sweetest possible way. He's always up to something and he's a really happy story in our home. His mum lives with us now and it's been a beautiful story of co-parenting with her instead of seeing a family destroyed. So collectively, we've all worked really hard to keep them together. And he just, he'll tell anyone who'll stand still long enough to hear it, that he's got two moms.- Tiffani Hein

The video has gone viral with over 4.6 million views. While the video was so relatable, Hein shared how people don't realise the work they put in at their foundation. "It’s weird to have millions of people interact with your content… and have just a few rand in our bank account and the impending terror of month end barrelling down", said Hein in a social media post.
According to Hein and her team at The Maletsatsi Foundation, "It is estimated that 3,500 babies are abandoned each year in South Africa. For every baby found alive, it is estimated that two will die."
These dire facts, accompanied by their will to see a world where women are sufficiently supported and where abandonment is eradicated, are the driving forces behind The Maletsatsi Foundation.
Hein said, "I don't think every person who views that video knows that we are a non-profit organisation trying our best to stay afloat while empowering families to stay together. Oh, and we create full-time family and residential care for a few 'football teams' of children each day too."
Like everything that aims for change and reform, as well as care and love, funding is necessary. You can play your part if you would like to contribute to The Maletsatsi Foundation.
