Dad fails at laying down the law with his 3-year-old
"Mommy and Daddy are throwing the bottle away tonight..."
It's no easy feat trying to wean your child off the bottle or breast milk. But then, approaching things in one go can lead to chaos and mayhem.
A father who thought it might be fun to take the 'cold turkey' approach with his three-year-old daughter found out the hard way that slow and steady wins the race.
A Johannesburg father with the TikTok page, Dads over 40, shared his conversation with his three-year-old daughter. In the video, the father explains to his toddler that she will no longer be getting her milk bottle, nor can she drink Mommy's breast milk.
The toddler's response was, "Don't you dare!"
This didn't stop her father from giving his big speech. He was unintimidated by her threats and said that she would also no longer be allowed to sleep in their bed.
The little girl shouted "Go away" as he continued to lay down the law.
She even tried to change the topic, but daddy didn't fall into her trap and persisted in having a serious conversation with her.

As usual, many South Africans had something to say about the negotiation. While Daddy caved in the end, it was evident that he was having fun with her.
