Why wait for spring to clean? Tackle a different section of your home weekly and feel the freedom of control that cleaning provides.

Cleaning is said to be strongly connected to the management of stress and anxiety. Some might not agree with that, but it surely makes sense.
Creating a sense of order in your surroundings gives one a sense of control, which helps in managing anxiety and your overall mental well-being. Therefore, taking action to clean our homes should be the first point of order in managing everyday stress
After all, exercising control in our households is much more attainable than trying to control outside factors.
Getting your kids to stop writing or drawing on your walls is a whole different challenge. It feels like a rite of passage because almost every kid has done it at some point. Some kids have even done it on walls or items not in their homes; others have chosen furniture as their canvases.

We don't know if this hack works on furniture and other items. However, according to an Instagram mom, a simple paste made from baking soda and water removes crayon marks from the wall and skirtings.

This is the solution if you want to clean your microwave or oven but don't have the time or energy to scrub it down.
Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Add boiling or room-temperature water to the bowl and pop it into the microwave for 3 minutes. The lemon water mix works with the water and the microwave heat to create steam and loosen the grime inside your microwave.
Use a casserole dish with water and lemon slices for your oven, turn on your oven, and bake for 20 - 30 minutes at 250 degrees. The steam helps loosen the dirt. For the oven door, sprinkle some baking soda after you've switched the oven off. Then, wash the door with the water from the casserole dish and a sponge.
