Mom shares five sensory activities that make bedtime easier

Ah, we love these types of videos, when moms help other moms and dads out with bedtime routines.

If you are a parent, then you know all too well how sometimes bedtime can be a challenge.
It's something that many families struggle with because kids sometimes just don't want to go to bed.
One mom seems to have it down to five things. She shared five sensory activities that she commits to with her toddler every night and says that it helps prepare her daughter for bedtime.

First up, she does Blanket Parachute. This activity has mom and daughter holding either end of a blanket and inside the blanket, they have the little girl's stuffed toys.
This is a great "activity to connect with your child while offering multi-sensory input".
Second up, mom uses Pillow Chops. Usually, this is something used by interior decorators when propping up cushions or pillows for a room.
But here it helps a child calm down.
Pillow Sandwiches don't just look fun they are meant to help your child's body feel relaxed, calm, and safe.
Toddler toss, which we don't advise for smaller kids, helps with Linear Vestibular input with a regulating crash at the end.
And lastly, Turtles Toss. This gives them some 'heavy work', that speaks for itself. Giving them the job of tossing a heavy stuffed animal off the bed.
Mom, Courtney, is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, so she is advising from a place of expertise.
