The saying, "boys will be boys," is apt for this story.

The Logan Fam, known for sharing their family content online, shared an interesting video of their seven-year-old son caught in a lie.

Mom and dad caught their son, TJ, in the act when they called him to ask if he had given his mother's number to anyone. The young man stood in shock as his mother played back a voice note of a young girl who said she was TJ's best friend.

However, TJ stuck to his guns and was adamant that he didn't know who she was. When his mother played more of the voice note, he surrendered, having learnt that the girl said he gave her the number.

As it turns out, TJ gave her the number and then claimed that he had forgotten.

His actions spoke louder than his words when his parents asked him to call her in front of them. The little boy is smitten, and what was even more surprising to learn was that the young girl he gave the number to is two years older than him.

His mom called him "the world's worst liar" and was not impressed by her son's antics, but his dad simply laughed it off.

Many men jumped into the comments, standing up for TJ and calling it the ultimate "bro code". It is evident that this little boy has the makings of a mischief-maker; we can see he's going to give Mom some trouble.

"Mama, please keep us updated. I’m so invested."

"Mine is 6 years and he came back heartbroken on Friday, his girlfriend dumped him for not having a six pack and that he can’t speak Afrikaans."

"Smoooth operator."

If you're a parent reading this, breathe, we're in this together, and if you're not, enjoy because being a parent is super entertaining.
