A nice family outing, Bunny Hop Haven
The Bunny Hop Haven is an animal sanctuary that's home to many rescued animals, and rehabilitates exotic pets.
If you're looking for a fun activity with the kids this weekend that gets them outdoors enjoying nature and some animal life, visit The Bunny Hop Haven.
"The Bunny Hop Haven is an animal sanctuary for rescued and rehabilitating exotic pets and farm animals. The non-profit company is a haven and home to rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, goats, pigs, and tortoises. The animals are up for adoption, and the haven has a strict home check and adoption process," reports What's on in Joburg.
Families and schools are welcome to visit and interact with the animals.
This is also a play and educational centre.
According to the What's on in Joburg website, "The Bunny Hop Haven serves an educational purpose for children. Children can interact and learn about animals outside of what they see in books, on TV, or on the internet. The haven encourages playing and feeding the animals. The sanctuary also has a children's jungle gym for endless hours of fun."

There is a restaurant at the sanctuary, but visitors can also bring food and drinks and enjoy a picnic at the entertainment area, where seating is available.
Several high school students can volunteer at the Bunny Hop Haven. Even those who must complete community service can choose to do so here, as the Bunny Hop Haven is registered with Community Hours SA.
Grades R to 3 can also participate in educational programmes that allow children to help at the haven. Children can play with the baby bunnies, help plant the vegetable garden, and feed the animals.
