A viral moment from 11 years ago left many people's spirits high when they watched a three-year-old boy named Mateo argue with his mother after he was caught trying to get cupcakes.

Mateo won over the internet's hearts when he called his mother by her name and tried to defend his actions. The words 'listen, listen, Linda' became a worldwide sensation, and people began using them in various scenarios.

Take a look at the full video below from YouTube to get context for our South African version coming up.

Now, allow us to introduce you to Mzansi's version of Mateo, a little boy unwilling to let his mother talk or listen to reason.

In the video, we see the young boy next to his mini car, holding up charging cables and explaining to his mother that the car is flat and he needs to charge it.

His mother tries her best to explain to him that there is no electricity and therefore he cannot charge it right now. But the boy is not having it. "Wait, wait, wait, mamela, mamela, I need to charge it, so don't say no to me," he says.
