A cute spot for the whole family that offers free entry and nine unique sheds with different offerings.

Struggling to find something fun to do with the family this weekend? Visit the Prison Break Market?
Located on 10 MacMillan Rd, Glenferness, Johannesburg, you are sure to find something fun to do. The market hosts nine unique sheds that offer something different for everyone. There's something for the entire family, from craft stalls to artisanal food stalls.
Entrance is free, but each shed has different operating times. The market is cashless, and all vendors are equipped with cashless devices.
The Prison Break Market has an incredible story behind it. The owner, Peter Gillespie, developed the design and concept. He travelled extensively to observe how markets around the world operate.
According to the market's website Gillespie's dream was to "create a midway environment between a pop-up market and shopping centre, and to give a base to crafters to permanently be able to manufacture goods in front of clients and encourage them to teach their trade while enjoying the benefits of selling the end product".
Here is the breakdown for the nine sheds at the market.
