It takes a true visionary to use unconventional materials to create designer items.

There's no doubt that South Africa has some of the most talented people in the world. How we look at fashion has long been a mark on one of our prized possessions, our diverse heritage.

Content creator and talented designer, Ndiwavho Jim, is well known for his ability to turn heads with his unique and extraordinary designs. He uses retail packaging to create some of the most unique 'couture-looking' designs. As oxymoronic as it sounds, we see a shopping bag, and he sees a canvas for a new design.

It's not the first time he has wowed the internet with his exquisite designs, and while we doubt it will be the last, this time he took on one of SA's favourite shopping brands, Checkers Sixty60

His creations are well-received by his online community, with many of them encouraging him to never give up on his fashion design.

He has made epic creations using Woolworths shopping bags, Shoprite plastic bags and even made an outfit out of wrapping paper.

His innovative approach with the Checkers Sixty60 shopping bags is not the first we've seen on social media recently.

Two matric students walked out in impressive fashion pieces made out of Checkers Sixty60 bags at a school modelling competition.
