Sometimes connections are built on pure love...

When we think about friendships, there are those that can literally be life-altering.
And when it is friendship that pushes past illness, it makes it somewhat more amazing to believe in the limitlessness of love.
This story is truly one such example. Ruby, a young girl who has a terminal illness called leukodystrophy, is friends with Abbie.
"Leukodystrophies are a family of 50 diseases that affect the brain's white matter, Ruby has a form of leukodystrophy called H-ABC. Because of leukodystrophy, Ruby's brain has trouble sending messages to her body to tell it what to do." (Instagram)
In a video with Abbie and Ruby, we can see them share a speechless moment that spoke volumes.
Leukodystrophy has no cure and is known to be fatal. So you can imagine how trying this must be on Ruby and her family.
But faith is something that we have to believe exists, and these two kids have reminded us what it can do.

It can be difficult to find hope and retain faith when you are in the thick of sadness and illness.
But as the saying goes, you wouldn't be given something the universe didn't believe you could handle.
Sometimes it is about pushing boundaries, testing your limits, and surpassing them. After all, isn't that the main ingredient in almost all miracle stories you hear about?
The fact that they did not succumb but rather challenged the diagnosis they were delivered..
