Dogs with a high chase or prey drive can develop a habit of chasing reflections, lights or shadows. It's safe to say that seeing a dog running around trying to catch something can be quite amusing at first.

Dina finds it amusing, but dog experts would disagree about encouraging this type of behaviour. Endless aimless chasing could lead to severe frustration in the dog, causing it to act out or, if the shadow chasing continues over a prolonged period, to develop an obsessive-compulsive disorder.
