How this sick dog welcomed its soldier owner back home is so sweet
Updated | By Poelano Malema

One of the hardest things to do for any soldier is to leave their loved ones behind, and this of course even extends to pets.
For one soldier, Hannah Foraker, that included leaving her senior dog for three months while on Basic Combat Training & AIT.
The 13-year-old dog is reportedly deaf and can't even stand.
However, welcoming Foraker back for Christmas filled the dog with so much joy that she started crying and whimpering.
“When I came home we let her outside and, at first, she didn’t realize I was home. Then, she did a double-take and came back to me. That’s when she started crying and whimpering. She was so excited,” Foraker told ABC News.
