Jacaranda FM (‘JACARANDA) is conducting this promotional competition, which is called Jacaranda FM Audience Survey competition. 

All participants, entering the Jacaranda FM Audience Survey competition, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:


1. This competition starts 29 June 2016 and closes 29 July 2016;

2. To participate in this competition you must be a South African citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa with a valid passport or ID; and

3. An Jacaranda FM listener; and

4. Be 18 years of age or older. Jacaranda has the right to request proof of Identification from entrants.


2.1. One Apple Watch will be awarded to the survey participant valued at R7000. 


3.1. Go to the Jacaranda Audience Survey Page and complete the questionnaire between 29 June 2016 and 29 July 2016. 

3.2. Entrants can only send one survey response.

3.3. All entries must be in by 11.59pm SA time on 29 July 2016. Entries after that time and date will not be considered. 

3.4. The winner will be randomly selected.

3.5. The winner will be drawn on the 1st August 2016 and announced on the Jacaranda Facebook page on 2nd August 2016. 

3.6. Winners will be contacted to provide delivery details for where the prize can be delivered.


4.1 Employees, directors, agents, contractors and consultants of Jacaranda FM and the rest of the Kagiso Media Group and their immediate families, associates or business partners may not enter the competition.

4.3 In the event of a dispute with regard to any aspect of the competition and/or these terms and conditions, the decision of Jacaranda will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.

4.4 Jacaranda may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities, fraudulent practices or unlawful tampering.


5.1 Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

5.2 Participants are responsible for all costs related to entering this competition, including cellular and data costs.

5.3 This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to Jacaranda and not to Facebook.

5.4 Jacaranda is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation in the competition and they assume no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.

5.5 Jacaranda does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature that may be caused or brought about, directly or indirectly, by the use of its Facebook page or the reliance on any information contained therein, save where such damage or loss arises directly or indirectly from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Jacaranda (or any person acting for and controlled by Jacaranda.

5.6 While every effort is made to keep information up-to-date and correct, Jacaranda does not accept any liability for reliance placed on information and/or images and/or other content not posted by Jacaranda. Jacaranda does not control the upload of contents and/or images by users and shall not be liable for any loss or damages whatsoever resulting directly or indirectly from harmful contents or images displayed on the site.

6.1. By participating in the survey, entrants agree to abide by all of the contest rules and regulations.

6.2 Each entrant is responsible for monitoring the sponsor’s Facebook communications related to this contest. If a potential prizewinner cannot be reached by Jacaranda within fifteen (15) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize.

6.3 The prize is not exchangeable for cash. Any incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses not specifically listed as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner and not Jacaranda.

6.4 Jacaranda has the right to adjust or discontinue this promotion at any time without prior notice to the public.
