#MBDSunset Benoni Broadcast
Updated | By Michael Savage
We asked you to send us your best pictures of the sunset you enjoy every day from home.
Stephen Dixon and his wife Wilna from Benoni decided that the sunset they see every day rivals the best, and tweeted us a picture.
So MBD set off to find out if their sunset really is one of the best, and broadcast live from their house!
When the neighbors heard that MBD were in town, everyone rocked up and got involved!
We asked the Dixon's to come up with a cocktail to commemorate the moment, and they were delicious!
They dubbed them the 'Kinky Robot'. Well done Stephen & Wilna!
Martin tasked DJ Arod with coming up with a Sunset Set, and as the sun went down he treated us to 3 awesome chilled out tunes, perfect for a sunset!
We even had tailor made Jacaranda FM cupcakes made for the occasion by a friend of Wilna!
When the sunset was upon us, we grabbed this time-lapse camera and strolled down to the Bullfrog Pan, a sanctuary at the end of the Dixon's road and captured their sunset, to see if it rivals the best in Africa. Here it is in all it's glory!
The broadcast was incredible, and a true sense of community was present throughout as the entire neighborhood joined in the fun!
And here was the tweet that started it all off. If you think you have the best African Sunset, tweet to us using the handle @martinbester and use the hashtag #MBDSunset
