BACKGROUND:

Eight-year-old Clarissa Willemse was born at 35 weeks at only 1.8kgs to single mom, Jacqui Willemse, who also has two sons.

Clarissa was diagnosed with severe hearing loss at 11 months. She has always been physically small and also has an intellectual backlog due to her hearing loss.

She is currently home schooled by her gran and wears mismatched hearing aids that were given to her.

Clarissa needs proper hearing aids to fit her ears, in order to give her the best chance to catch up, especially with her speech therapy.

This will assist with her development and communication skills, as well as her integration into society.

Her mom is a receptionist and cannot afford the hearing aids.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:

·       Die mamma – Jacqui werk by AVBOB as ‘n ontvangsdame.

·       Hier is groot finansiele nood.

Groete,

Erica Basson (Manager: Foundation for Children with Hearing Loss in Southern Africa)
