Good Morning Angels: A home for Christmas for Letta and her seven children
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Letta’s brother committed suicide, leaving his four children destitute and Letta took them in. Hope is on its way!
BACKGROUND: Letta Kgalo is a domestic worker, working for Telanie Mulder and her family for the past two years. She is a hardworking, kind woman, who raised her three children on her own. Last year Letta’s brother committed suicide, leaving his four children destitute - and Letta took them in. Her home is near Cullinan, where her children live. Last week’s strong winds and rain wreaked havoc in Letta’s community - and her home was badly damaged. Because the roof was blown off, many of the things that make a house a home, were damaged. Telanie has tried to assist, but their business has also been hit hard by the lockdown and she asked Good Morning Angels to assist this Angel in her and her family’s lives - to repair her home.
REQUEST FOR: Letta Kgalo and her family
REQUEST FROM: Telanie Mulder
ANGEL: Bonnie Cooper, MD the Festive sponsors, Roman’s Pizza
SPONSORING: Roman’s Pizza will assist Letta to rebuild her home and replace some of the damaged items with a donation of R 35 000 !
ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Good day Angels,
I am asking for any assistance in the following matter please:
Our domestic lady, Letta has been working for me for the past 2 years - she is such a kind soul. Her brother committed suicide last year and she has been raising his 3 children as well as her own 4 children.
Last week a strong wind blew away the roof of their house, with the rain all the furniture is damaged as well and they are forced to look for shelter elsewhere. We have seen photos of the house and there is quite a bit of work that needs to be done.
Unfortunately our business has been hit very hard with Covid and we are unable to lend a hand ourselves. I am asking for any any assistance to assist her and her family. She is an amazing person. If they can have their house fixed it would be the biggest Christmas blessing!
Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Telanie Mulder
