Good Morning Angels: R100,000 to help a Modimolle dad back on his feet
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Helping a much loved Modimolle dad back on his feet, after a freak work accident!
BACKGROUND: By all accounts, Hennie Pistorius from Modimolle is that guy who will go out of his way to help others. Several residents from the Limpopo town sent requests to Good Morning Angels on behalf of Hennie, after a freak accident at work, just over a week ago. Hennie, a 46-year-old husband and dad of two boys aged 1- and 3 years, was putting a roof up for a client. He was on top of the building when the drill he was working with, slipped. Hennie lost his balance and fell from the roof. During the fall, the corrugated iron he was doing the roofing with, cut open his head, scalping him from the jaw to the top of his head. He was left with severe cuts to his head, requiring several procedures so far to keep the wounds clean and avoid sepsis. The extent of damage is not yet clear, but he has damage to his facial nerves that could affect his blinking and salivary glands.
Hennie is self-employed and cannot afford medical aid. As the family’s only breadwinner, he is not able to work while on the mend. The medical bills are piling up, but Hennie’s sister, Jane-Serie, and the Modimolle community have been working hard to raise funds, to help him pull through.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Goeie dag Jacaranda Angels
