Earlier this year, the ministry of environmental affairs released a statement that the number of rhinos killed for their horns by poachers in South Africa dipped in 2017, but more than 1,000 were still slaughtered.

Unfortunately, this fight is still a reality for game reserves around the country and this past weekend was another case.

Martin had a very interesting take on the issue and questioned why we see death in such a positive light?

Sibuya Game Reserve is based on the Sunshine Coast and is accessed solely by boat via the magnificent Kariega Estuary. The reserve reported that a pride of lions had attacked and killed a group of poachers.

Nick Fox, the reserve's owner, took to their Facebook page, saying: "At this stage it is not clear exactly how many poachers were killed but the Police forensic team continue to investigate."
