Maurice Carpede celebrates Jacaranda FM’s 35th birthday
Happy 35th birthday, Jacaranda FM!
Maurice’s career took off in 1996 when he joined a community radio station, Radio Hoogland (now defunct), in Bloemfontein. Years later, he joined Jacaranda FM between *. He was much-loved by the listeners. However, he moved to Cape Town and wakes up with a fresh sea breeze every day!
Maurice is now a radio presenter in Cape Town and is a seasoned actor. He has recently starred in 'Swirl', a movie by Quanita Adams, 'The Reece', as well as 'Afgrond'.

Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Maurice on the morning of Jacaranda FM’s 35th birthday. Jacaranda FM’s footprint covers Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the North West province.
Maurice said: “I have so many fond memories with Jacaranda FM. I was with the station for eight years."
