'Naka protected us' - Drotské's brother recalls
Former Springbok rugby player Naka Drotské was shot in a foiled house robbery a week ago. This morning his brother tells of their ordeal.
Drotské’s brother, Tinus Drotské, joined Breakfast with Martin Bester on Thursday morning to talk about the ordeal.

“It was last week Thursday. Naka went to the airport to drop off his boys to visit his mom in America. We were at my house. Os and I were braaing. We were just dishing up. I sat at the head of the table and Naka was sitting with his back to the sliding door.”
Tinus continues by remembering the horrible evening that followed: “Four armed robbers were standing at the opening of the sliding door. They had teargas. They targeted Os du Randt because he was the biggest guy. They were spreading teargas and looked very nervous. The next moment Naka jumped up and took the danger away from us.”
Tinus thanked his brother for his bravery.

The 47-year-old played for the Springboks between 1993 and 1999.
He was also a member of the 1995 team that won the Rugby World Cup.
