Country superstar Dolly Parton's hit '9 to 5' is a household classic worldwide.

Everyone knows, and can probably resonate with, the iconic opening line: "Tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen, pour myself a cup of ambition". Sounds like your morning, right?

Parton has been very good over the years in staying relevant by releasing new music and adapting her old hits for new audiences.

One such adaption that no one saw coming is the remake of her 1980s hit '9 to 5' with none other than rapper Pitbull

Okay, we'll just give you a moment to let that soak in.

The pair came together to reimagine the hit, renamed 'Powerful Women', as part of the American rapper's new collection, 'Trackhouse'.

According to Forbes, the new set appears to be a follow-up to his 2023 album, also named 'Trackhouse'.

It includes seven new songs, including the one with Dolly Parton.

The new track is a mix between hip-hop and dance/electronic, but instead of just sampling '9 to 5', it uses its entire chorus as the hook for the song.

Parton also threw in a few new verses singing about her mom, "Mama worked hard her entire life / She had twelve kids at 35".

Later, she also mentions co-stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, who appeared in the film '9 to 5'.

"Here's to Jane and Lilly / And the girls that fight for equal pay, equal rights".
