Keabetswe 'KB' Motsilanyane spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester about the overwhelming response her rendition of the South African national anthem received after this weekend's rugby match between the Springboks and Ireland.
The person on everyone's lips after this weekend's Test match between South Africa and Ireland is KB Motsilanyane.
Motsilanyane left every South African feeling emotional after she performed what has been deemed a historic rendition of the national anthem ahead of the match at Loftus.
The South African actress, singer, and businesswoman's phenomenal performance left viewers with goosebumps, but it was her ability to unite the country through the national anthem that left everyone in tears.

Before Motsilanyane stepped onto the rugby field, the announcer declared: "The anthem today will be sung by you and KB Motsilanyane and signed today by Lisa Nkandla."
After delivering impeccable vocals up until the Afrikaans part of the anthem, the singer opened her arms and handed the limelight to the crowd, who proceeded to conclude the rest of the anthem.
This amazing moment left many South Africans in tears, and many say this has set a new standard for how the national anthem should be sung.

The 'Rhythm City' and '7de Laan' actress spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester, talking about the overwhelming response her performance has received.
Spirits were already high as the stadium was graced by award-winning Sheep Shearers, the South African Beekeeping team, champion artist Dr Esther Mahlangu, a representative from Bafana Bafana, and Dricus du Plessis, our first South African middleweight champion.

The stadium was also adorned with a massive banner bearing Du Plessis' famous words, "Hulle Weet Nie Wat Ons Weet Nie" ("They Don’t Know What We Know").
