'She needed help and I followed my heart' - Petrol attendant
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
A crowdfunding campaign for a petrol attendant has gone viral after his incredible gesture made headlines.
Monet van Deventer started the campaign after petrol attendant Nkosikho Mbele from False Bay paid R100 for her petrol after she had forgotten her bank card at home.
"I had nothing at the moment and was in danger," she told Martin Bester.
"Nkosikho was worried and help me with R100," Van Deventer added.
Martin Bester was so inspired by Mbele that he had to invite him to talk about his generous gesture.
"She needed my help," Mbele told Martin Bester.
Donations for Mbele have been streaming in from all over the world.
The crowdfunding at the moment is sitting at R350,000.
Mbele is not sure what he will use the money for, but he knows that God will guide him.
