Well, the 93-year-old monarch shrewdly twists her Welsh gold wedding ring, given to her by her husband Prince Philip, as a signal to her staff when she needs to be rescued from a boring conversation. Clever!

According to reports, the Queen also moves her handbag from one side of the chair to the other if she wants the conversation to end.
