Liesl Allen booked an e-hailing service and when the vehicle arrived, she was mugged and her handbag and cellphone were taken in seconds.

The driver had allegedly been hijacked and what she thought would be a normal ride, would turn out to be a hijacking by criminals who intercepted her e-hailing booking.

The passionate teacher booked an e-hailing vehicle to pick her up outside of her residence in Paulshof, Johannesburg at 18:15.

Liesl explains: “I was waiting for my Uber - Perhaps my Uber was hijacked/intercepted and arrived with the criminals in it, who then mugged me (they were rough and had knives).”
