Coronavirus deaths recorded across 7 provinces

The department of Health has recorded 73 more deaths over a larger part of South Africa in the 24 hours leading up Monday evening.
Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, announced in his daily report that the Western Cape recorded the highest number of deaths with 43 fatalities.
"Regrettably, we report a further 73 COVID-19 related deaths- 1 from Mpumalanga, 5 from Limpopo, 2 from North West, 6 from Gauteng, 10 from Eastern Cape, 6 from KwaZulu Natal and 43 from Western Cape. This brings the total deaths to 2529.
"We wish to express our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased," Mkhize said.

Mkhize says the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 144 264.
