Amazon’s amazing learnership course for South Africans

Study a course with one of the world's leading tech companies.
Good news for the IT fanatics.
One of the biggest technology companies, Amazon, is now offering South Africans the opportunity to study a web course through them.
Amazon partnered with prominent institution, Explore Data Science Academy, to offer a one-year training learnership course.
The Explore Data Science Full Time Learnership course is an NQF level 5 learnership accredited by MICT SETA.
“Within months you will learn one of the highest paid and fastest growing skills in the Tech Industry: Data Science. This world-class course will teach you how to solve difficult problems using the latest advances in the Data Science realm,” reads the course description on the website.
Clive Charlton, head of solution architecture for the Sub-Saharan African Public Sector at AWS, told Business Tech that the institution understands that sometimes people might not have enough funds to study.
“The courses are extensive, and we also know that the cost of qualifications and training is often a barrier to young South Africans upskilling themselves,” Charlton told Business Tech.
As a result, the institution will be offering sponsored leadership (free) and self-payment options (R50,000) or loan offerings (R2,000 per month for 36 months), states Business Tech.
