Bangkok plans to welcome international visitors as soon as October this year

Before the pandemic hit, tourism made up a fifth of Thailand’s national income.
Even with several attempts to try and increase the amount of international visits, the country has had to remain closed.
The result has seen the country's economy performing at its worst levels in over 20 years.

Plans have now been announced that the country will reopen to fully vaccinated visitors by October this year, despite a third wave of COVID-19.

Unfortunately, the country is experiencing further backlash. Countries such as Britain and the USA have warned their people against travelling to Thailand due to the rising numbers and low vaccination rates.
