Doctor in Mpumalanga refuses to see unvaccinated patients

Getting the vaccination has not been made mandatory yet, but a doctor in Mpumalanga has made it known that he will not be seeing any patients that have not been vaccinated.

Dr Tafara Machiris advised that his decision only to see vaccinated people came after losing people to the deadly virus.

Some South Africans have had a strong response to the doctor’s decision, with some showing support and others saying that he has broken his oath.
He knows that he cannot force anyone to take the vaccine, but the choice has been made for his practice.

There is a notice up at the entrance of the doctor’s offices informing visitors that they will have to be vaccinated for him to see them.
