Gauteng tops list of car sales in 2019

Gauteng is known and loved for many reasons. It is the hub of entertainment in South Africa and scores of people from different parts of the world have made it their home.
It is the smallest province of South Africa, but the most populous one in the country.
Gauteng is also the wealthiest province in South Africa, which makes it no surprise that it is the province where people buy the most cars.
A recent report by Lightstone Auto published in Wheels24 revealed that Gauteng is the leading province when it comes to car sales.
The province has sold 63,126 cars so far in 2019,
followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 22,937, and Western Cape with 17,780.
The top five most bought brands in the second quarter of 2019 were VW, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, and Renault.
Although the province buys the most cars, when it comes to traffic, it comes in second to Cape Town, according to another report from Wheels24.
According to the report, the most congested city is Cape Town, followed by Johannesburg, East London, and then Durban.
