It has been a tough year so here are some good luck traditions from around the world to ring in the new year.
The first tradition is wearing all white. This tradition hails from Brazil and it makes choosing a new year’s outfit that much easier.
The second tradition is to literally jump into the new year. This is a tradition from Denmark where people stand on chairs and jump off at midnight to bring good luck.
The third tradition is choosing your underwear colour correctly. This tradition from Latin America is all about choosing the right colour underwear for the new year. Yellow for luck, red for love, and white for peace.
The last tradition is to throw a bucket of water out of your window. This comes from Puerto Rico and dumping the water out is said to drive evil away or you can sprinkle sugar outside to invite good luck.
