Do you still have to do last-minute Christmas shopping? Take the following precautions to ensure that you can shop safely.

Shopping last minute can be a nightmare!
With many people on leave and Christmas just a few days away, malls and shopping complexes can be packed.
Thieves are also on the prowl during this season, intending to rob many people of their hard-earned money.

Safety Tips:
- Keep your bag close to your body.
- Ensure your wallet, bank cards, and cell phone are securely placed in a closed bag.
- Avoid going around with lots of cash on you.
- Set a limit on your bank card accounts.
- Ensure your car is properly locked and all windows are closed before leaving the parking lot.
- Do not trust strangers.
- Do not allow shopping attendants to tell you they can sell you things at a better rate outside the store.
- Check your car properly before entering, to see if any suspicious activities might have occurred while you were out.
- Keep a safe distance from people to avoid those who might want to rob you by bumping into you.
- Do not allow people to distract you in any way
- Don't leave your shopping bags unattended, whether because you are eating or going to the restroom etc.
- Pay attention to your surroundings at all times.
