A month of celebrating phenomenal South African Women: Major Mandisa Nomcebo Mfeka

On the 9th of August, we, as South Africans, celebrate National Women’s Day. The day commemorates the 1956 March, when about 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to petition against the country’s pass laws that required South Africans defined as “black” to carry an internal passport.
