Expert advice on how to take better care of your skin in summer

Don't let the hot weather season cause your skin to suffer. Here is how you can take better care of it to ensure it looks healthy and radiant.

The weather affects how our skin looks. 

For instance, in winter, the skin tends to be more dry. 

However, hot weather increases water loss from the body. Some people will find themselves sweating and producing more oil. 

This not only leads to dehydration, but it can affect how your skin looks and feels.

Your skin can feel irritated. It can also look red and dry. 

Angel Seleka, a Beauty Therapist and owner of Her Spa, shares six tips to ensure you have healthy and good looking skin in summer.

- Drink lots of water as the heat dehydrates your skin.

- Exfoliate regularly to avoid build up of dead skin. 

- Wash your face with cool water. 

- Keep your skin moisturised. 

- Use a high SPF sunscreen for full coverage. 

- Avoid products with sulfates. They dehydrate the skin and cause ageing.
