Carrots are healthy and have beta-carotene, a natural chemical that the body changes into vitamin A which helps with eye-sight.

Growing your own carrots will mean cutting down on grocery spend, but the biggest benefit is that you will be getting your carrots fresh from the garden.
Carrots are best grown during August to October and February to April.
The best soil for growing carrots is loose soil that is full of organic matter and well-decomposed compost. The loose soil helps the carrots to grow without any resistance. The pH should be between 6.2 and 6.8.
Plants should be spaced 20cm apart in rows that are 40 to 50cm apart.
Carrots takes 100 to 120 days to grow.
