Anita Baker drops Babyface as support act due to bullying

Anita Baker has announced that Babyface will no longer form part of her 'The Songstress Tour' because of the harassment and threats she has received from his fans.

Anita Baker and Babyface are making headlines following a feud that was fuelled by online bullies. 

Baker announced on Twitter that she has removed Babyface as a supporting act after she was cyberbullied by people who pose to be Babyface's fans. 

"#AnitaBaker After Silently, Enduring Cyber Bulling/Verbal Abuse & Threats of Violence from the Fan Base, of Our Special Guest❤️/Support Act. In the Interest of Personal Safety. I will continue, The Songstress Tour, alone. Appropriate refunds will be made," she wrote on Twitter. 

Babyface's fans reportedly started bullying Baker after the show in Newark.

Baker cleared the confusion that she was the only headliner and Babyface was a special guest.

Baker explained: "It was 9:30pm.*Contractually?...It was WAAAY Past time 4 the Headline Performer, to be On Stage/Anita Baker. Support Act did Not Perform.I have No Contract with Support Act. Not my Call. I Did what i was *Contracted 2 do & Love, as Headline Performer, of my Sold Out Concert."

She also set the record straight that she did nothing to sabotage Babyface's performance.

Baker has asked her fans to report any harassment they might receive from Babyface's fans. 

"Dear Friends & Fans, on My TL, who are being harrassed, by folk purporting to be, Babyface's fans. Block them & Rept the harrassment. Do Not Engage, on my behalf. I Love You❤️.ABXO".
