Benny Blanco talks recording music with fiancée Selena Gomez

"It was better than working with anyone else because at the end of the day, I get to kiss her too."

Benny Blanco shares what it was like recording an album with his fiancée, Selena Gomez.
The record producer proposed to the 'Love You Like a Love Song' singer in December 2024.
Gomez's close friend, Taylor Swift, was among the first to congratulate the couple, even nominating herself for flower girl.

Three months after their intimate engagement, Gomez and Blanco released their joint album, 'I Said I Loved You First'.
The album produced hits such as 'Sunset Blvd', 'Scared of Loving You', and 'Call Me When You Break Up', which featured Gracie Abrams.
Speaking to Richard Wilkins on Australia's 'TODAY' show, Blanco says he had a blast working with his soon-to-be wife.
"We just started making music in our house as a little fun activity, and then all of a sudden we had one song, then two songs, then three songs, then four songs. And I am like, 'Oh s**t, we have like an album starting to happen," he said.
Blanco has created hits for artists such as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Maroon 5 and Britney Spears. However, nothing compares to making sweet music with Gomez.
"She's just a joy to work with. It was better than working with anyone else because at the end of the day, I get to kiss her too," he said.
Blanco also set the record straight about their wedding plans after Sheeran revealed in May that he received an invite.
The producer told Wilkins that while the 'Azizam' singer is definitely invited to the wedding, a date hasn't been set just yet.
"Eventually, Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will," he said.
They haven't walked down the aisle yet, but Blanco is already dreaming about expanding their family.
"I love kids; I love being an uncle. I want to be a dad, though, God willing. I'm just dreaming and praying every day," he told InStyle in a recent interview.
One of the songs from his album with Gomez, 'Call Me When You Break Up', is charting on the CTM Top 40 with Danny Painter.
Sheeran, Maroon 5, and Abrams also appear on the chart.
