Camila Cabello has had to deal with several break-ups in her life.

The international star opened up about breaking up with the X-Factor-generated girl group Fifth Harmony.

Talking to Alex Cooper on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, the singer reflected on her decision to leave the group.

She started by pointing out how the American girl group helped her grow.

“I grew a lot in that group,” she said, before adding that she started wanting to do things her way.

She told Alex: “It turned into, ‘No, actually, I want to sing these songs by myself.'”

This led to her pulling away from the group.

“I started distancing myself from the group vision. They were still really passionate and into that,” she said.

The 'Shameless' singer says she started feeling unhappy.

“I was just like, ‘I’m not happy here anymore. It doesn’t feel aligned,'” she said, before adding that going solo felt like a breakup.

“It’s like any breakup, yeah. It sucks.”

She also spoke about breaking up with Shawn Mendes after briefly rekindling their romance last year.

The singer says she will always love Mendes.

"I will always care about him and love him, he's such a good person," she said.

"I'm lucky cause some people have exes who are awful—and he is not. He's a really kind, good person," she added.

The singer explained that she doesn't regret giving their relationship another try.

"It's crazy because I'm kind of impulsive in that way—if I feel it, I say it," she said.

"The worst thing for it to live in is my mind, and then I'm like, Ryan Gosling in The Notebook building a house for this person. So, I would rather say it and see what happens and then wake up the next day and find out that it's been heavily documented. I opted for that route. It is what it is. It was a fun route—it was a fun moment," she added.
