Justin Timberlake's new album is coming out in a few weeks.

The musician recently spoke with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 about his upcoming album, 'Everything I Thought It Was'.

He says he had to look back at his past, not with a "refracted perspective", but a real perspective.

Timberlake, whose life is often in the public eye, says he had never really verbalised his perspective.

"I was able, on some of the songs, to look back at the past and have a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was because they always say ... you always hear that thing about, well, there's never any truth, there's just everybody's perspective of what happened.

"But to really look at it and be able to metabolise and verbalise my perspective on it, I don't think I've ever really done that before," said Timberlake.

The new album comes out on March 15.

After the release, Timberlake says he will start his tour in April.

Last week, he released the first single from the album.

'Selfish' was released on Thursday, 25 January, and it came out almost five years after Justin's last project, 'Man of the Woods'.

The music video is already sitting on three-million views on YouTube.
