Rita Ora has decided to clear her name after she was rumoured to have had an affair with Jay-Z.

The rumours started after Beyoncé released her 2016 song, ‘Sorry‘, from her album, 'Lemonade', and sung about "Becky with the good hair". In the song, Beyoncé seemed to allude to an affair between the her husband and Becky.

Scores of people said Becky referred to Rita, who at the time was signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label. She also once posted a photo of herself  wearing a ‘J’ necklace with a lemonade in her hand.

Chatting to Louis Theroux Interviews, Rita dismissed the rumours.

She claimed that the necklace she was wearing was not written 'J' and it was purely by coincidence that she wore it.

“Oh my god, it literally was a coincidence,” Ora said.

“I didn’t even think about it, I swear. And it wasn’t a J, it was an R. They flipped it round and then it looked like a J,” she said.

When asked whether she wore the necklace and posed with the lemonade to add fuel to the fire, she denied the allegations.

“No, it had nothing… No, that was my own design with an underwear company called Tezenis that I was working with."

Shortly after that, she said her friend Katy Perry gave her a badge that said ‘not Becky’.
