Selena Gomez has gone back to her roots and released a Spanish song. ‘De Una Vez’, which means ‘At Once’ in English, was released over the weekend.

"This has been something I've wanted to do for 10 years, working on a Spanish project, because I'm so, so proud of my heritage, and just genuinely felt like I wanted this to happen," Gomez said in an interview with Lowe.

The singer calls it a “love anthem”.

It is about moving on from a past relationship and finding your self-worth.

In the song, Gomez sings lyrics such as, “It doesn’t hurt like before, no. The wound of your love healed”, “I don’t have you, I have myself”, and “ I left so you don’t forget that a death like yours can be survived".

Many of her fans believe Gomez is singing about Justin Bieber.

Another user commented: “I cant believe Selena Gomez is still singing about Justin Bieber in 2021. GIRL.”

Gomez and Bieber were involved in an on-off relationship from 2011 and finally called it quits in 2018.
