Talking about the album, Shakira said the album allowed her to change her vulnerability into strength.

“Making this body of work has been an alchemical process,” Shakira said in a statement.

“While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength,” she said.

Shakira's latest album comes seven years after she released her last one, 'El Dorado', in 2017.
