"You asked for it, we listened," - these are the words of Taylor Swift explaining her latest version of 'Snow on the Beach', a song which she originally released in 2022.

The new version is featured on Taylor's new deluxe version of her tenth album, 'Midnights'. It's titled 'Midnights (Til Dawn Edition)'. It was released on May 26. It features a never-before-heard track, 'You're Losing Me'.

Taylor said the decision to re-record 'Snow on the Beach' came as a request from her fans.

"You asked for it, we listened: Lana and I went back into the studio specifically to record more Lana on Snow on the Beach. Love u Lana," Taylor wrote on Twitter.

Lana also spoke about how much she loves the song. She says the collaboration came as a surprise.

"Well, first of all, I had no idea I was the only feature [on that song]. Had I known, I would have sung the entire second verse like she wanted," she told Billboard in an interview released in February 2023.

"My job as a feature on a big artist’s album is to make sure I help add to the production of the song, so I was more focused on the production.

"She was very adamant that she wanted me to be on the album, and I really liked that song," she added.

Taylor is currently re-recording her old albums after her old manager Scooter Braun bought the ownership of her first six albums back in 2020.

With the new records, Taylor will own the complete rights of her music.
