Turn up the volume for the new Zaan Sonnekus single!

good music has been to me. Through the ups and downs in life, it has always managed
to lift my spirits and make me feel like I belong,” shares South Africa’s favourite rocker, Zaan
Sonnekus about the meaning behind his latest hit.
'Ten Minste Vir My' is a rock song with an upbeat vibe and meaningful lyrics that promises to make fans smile.
“I was alone in a bar one night. It felt like I was the only one there and like the DJ was playing his music just for me. I wondered if he also (like me) played music to lift people’s spirits. That evening he definitely managed to cheer me up,” the artist explains.
According to the Pretorian, with his long dark hair and artistic collection of tattoos, the track will appeal to listeners of all ages and it will invite them to sing and dance to the lyrics: “Asseblief Meneer sit harder die musiek, ten minste vir my…!” It will serve as therapy for those people who listen to great rock music, but also like to find the deeper meaning of the song with a positive message behind the lyrics.

'Ten Minste Vir My' forms part of his album, Zonneblom, which was officially launched at the AfriForum Theatre in Pretoria. It was extremely well received by media, fans and the public and he regards it as one of the biggest highlights of his career so far.
Zaan, who grew up in Bloemfontein is currently busy working on concepts for more music videos and is planning to tour the country with his band. He is also part of Son Studios and Son Sound and is also co-owner of Inner Ink, which manufactures hardened glass on an industrial level and does ceramic printing.
